Become an inaugural member of the RBC & Battlesnake Developer Fellowship cohort!

The RBC & Battlesnake Developer Fellowship is an exciting new initiative aimed at recognizing and supporting women, female-identifying and non-binary developers in launching the next stage of their Battlesnake journey.

Recipients of the inaugural Fellowship will gain access to a multitude of amazing resources to help them grow in the world of competitive Battlesnake and beyond, including $200 in AWS Credits, a 6-month Replit Hacker Plan, Exclusive RBC and Battlesnake swag, and mentorship from members of the Tech @ RBC and Battlesnake Developer teams.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • A female, female-identifying or non-binary developer (includes but not limited to: non-binary, gender nonconforming, genderfluid, Intersex, Genderqueer, and Agender).
  • Currently living, working or studying in Canada.
  • A new or current member of the Battlesnake Community*.

* An exisiting Battlesnake account is not required at the time of application.

Who is eligible to apply for the Fellowship?
The RBC & Battlesnake Developer Fellowship is open to women, female-identifying or non-binary developers (including students) who are living, working or studying in Canada and who are looking to take their Battlesnake skills to the next level through access to some great resources. An existing Battlesnake account is not required.

When does the Fellowship application period close?
The Fellowship application period opened on July 31, 2021 and will close August 22nd, 2021 at 11:59PM (PST).

How many Fellowships will be awarded?
Up to 6 Fellowships will be awarded this summer, with the opportunity for future Fellowships in upcoming competitive seasons.

Where will successful Fellowship recipients be notified?
Successful applicants will be notified via email during the week of August 22nd*, with the announcement of the inaugural cohort of Fellows planned for August 27th at the launch of pre-registration for the 2021 Battlesnake Fall League.

*Due to an overwhelming response to the inaugural Developer Fellowship, our notification and announcement of Fellowship recipients has been slightly delayed. We endeavor to contact the successful recipients in early September.
